Hello all,

I am sorry it’s been so long since I posted but it has been an extremely busy week. Between my fiance’s cousin’s wedding on Monday (I really need to post an image of the card I made them, I am so proud of it) and work I’ve been trying to pack for vacations.

I am leaving for Greece tomorrow morning! My vacations are finally here! There were times that I thought that 12th August would never come… but it’s here! I can’t wait to see my family again and of course relax by the sea. I really need it!

It’s been such a busy year at work and joining the the Crafter’s Companion Design Team(I’m still sooooo excited about it!) and doing demonstrations for them. But I cannot complain – how could I possibly complain?! I met so many lovely people as part of the DT that I wouldn’t have otherwise and made many new friends. I got to demonstrate the eCraft for Crafter’s Companion at Doncaster’s Summer Crafting – that was an amazing experience! I got to design cards and get exclusing info and peeks into Crafter’s Companion future projects. And earlier this year I had my two days of being spoiled by Sara and Leann as part of winning the Crafter’s Companion 5th Birthday Competition (which led to me becoming a member of the DT). Truly an incredible year!

So although I am not really looking forward to my vacations being over (I want them to last as much as possible!) I am really excited about what comes next – what will the rest of the year bring.

But for now I am just going to concentrate on vacations and relaxing! I might take my Paint Fusion bits with me to paint by the sea – wouldn’t that be lovely?! I will leave you with a few photos of where I am going – N.Marmaras in Halkidiki, Greece . I really wish that one day you visit this place. I love it! Maybe I am biased since I used to go there every summer since I was born but it is really a beautiful place.

So here are some photos and I hope you enjoy what is left of summer, I know I will!!!

Wedding card/box

For today’s card I picked a wedding card that was commisioned by a couple I know for their son’s wedding. It was an urgent card so it was made it one evening but it took me a good 6 hours…

The stamped image is from LOTV – it’s called Wedding Carriage. The papers came from my stash, I think I bought them a couple of years back. The die cuts are Spellbinders, Parisian Accents and Parisian Motifs and the card used is Ivory Centura Pearl card. I’ve also used a little bit of Core’dinations card.

In the drawer there was a 5×5 card that had the names of the couple and the wedding date all welded and cut out with my beloved eCraft. It is so easy to personalise projects with it! I do the designing and it does the hard work (the cutting) for me!

I will add some cards that I made using the eCraft here when I get a moment. I am getting ready for my vacations next Friday so I’ve been a bit busy – I am trying to finish a dress to take with me! Will try to post photos of it when it’s done!

Lots of love, Nandia

Humphrey in Daddy’s shoes

Another little Humphrey image for today. This time it’s little Humphrey wearing his daddy’s shoes.

The image is from the new Humphrey’s Corner stamps that were launched on Friday by Crafter’s Companion and it is called “Father’s day”. The stamp plate includes the main image of Humphrey, 3 sentiments (“Happy Father’s Day”, “Special Dad” and “For my daddy”), the little shoes stamp and the tie stamp. So you have all the embelishments to create a father’s day card, a birthday card or any occassion card with little Humphrey.

Father's Day

The papers are from Humphrey’s Corner papercrafting CD-ROM and I have used an insert as a backing paper. I cut the topper with a Nestabilities die and mounted it on some blue card before adding it in the centre of the insert. I used a Martha Steward punch for the corners and then mounted them all together on another backing paper from the CD-ROM.

The main image as well as the two embelishments were stamped on Neenah card and coloured with the Spectrum Noir pens. If you don’t have yours already then you might just make it if you run to the Crafter’s Companion website (just click on the name of the pens above). Leann was demonstrating them on Create and Craft at the weekend and they were very popular!

Have fun crafting!

Love, Nandia
