Two amazing crafting days

The past two days were probably the most amazing days I’ve ever had. Back in October I had won the Crafter’s Companion birthday card competition and on Sunday 6th February I traveled to Darlington with my fiance James for two crafting days. When I got there I was anxious and a little bit nervous. We met Meg and Leann from Crafter’s Companion on that evening along with Denise and Karena who had won the draw on the birthday week. We had dinner with them (and dessert of course!) and spent a lovely evening talking and exchanging stories.

Early start on Monday morning as we met Sara and Leann for breakfast at the hotel and then our craftng day began. They had everything set up for us and they had so many projects prepared! Sara showed us how to make a little chest of drawers and an exploding box with fluttering butterflies and Leann taught us how to make an easel card with a drawer, how to decorate candles with stamps and how to make a twisting easel card and create wonderful flowers out of Core’dinations paper. The whole day just flew by. The perfect day ended with a lovely dinner at the hotel

On the second day Sara picked us up from the hotel to visit Crafter’s Companion HQ where all the fun happens. We were introduced to all the staff and Sara told us the storyof how it all started and how it evolved. It was really inspirational. We were also given the chance to make our own stamps. Those machines are soooo hot that I could feel the heat even through the gloves we were given!  But I believe we did a really good job! We were also given a set of S.W.A.L.K. stamps that haven’t been released yet (keep an eye out on Saturday 12th February!) and other goodies. Sara also gave me and Denise each one mug that she had bought for us from the airport in Amsterdam on Sunday night.

They were two truly amazing days. I felt so spoiled and pampered. And I was over the moon that I was able to meet Sara and Leann and have a whole-day private workshop with them!

But it didn’t stop there as today I send Leann an email at the studio at Create and Craft and they called me so I had the chance to talk to her and Nigel live on the air! So now I can check that from my list of things that I would love to do! Also I felt so proud when Leann used my design for the easel card with the acetate that she did!

I still can’t believe that this happened to me! Thank you Crafter’s Companion!
