Popcorn Pals Sneak Peek 2

And for my second sneak peek… a stamped image. I had so much fun colouring this image with my watercolour pencils especially her hair – I love red hair! If you notice closely you’ll see that I’ve used a little bit of the light blue from the Whispers pens that I’ve blended with some water to create some shading around the image, it just makes it look more dimensional.  The backing paper is from the first one the doulbe CDs. The pink card is from Crafter’s Companion as well, from the Centura pearl brights. I’ve created 4 corners and added some faux stitching.

This image actually reminds me of when I used to sit on the swing with my cat when I was little – he wasn’t very impressed though, to say the least… But this kitty seems to be enjoying it!

Hope you like my card, only a couple of days left! If you are not a member of Crafter’s Companion yet make sure you become one as the Popcorn Pals double cd and stamps will only be available for members!

More to come tomorrow.

Popcorn Pals Sneak Peek 1

Hello to all!

Got a small sneak peak of the new double cd by Crafter’s Companion called Popcorn Pals. You might have already seen it on the website. It is launching on Friday exclusively for Crafter’s Companion members.

I created a shadow card from the first CD (it’s card4). Quick and easy to make these cards are so lovely – they look amazing and they are quick to make. I just added the sentiment on the back panel and the little tag on the left (they both come on the same sheet as the card). I finished with some ribbon and a tiny bit of glitter around the heart. That kitty looks so incredibly cute!!!!

More to come in the next days! Also keep an eye out for the sneak peaks from the rest of the Crafter’s Companion DT – I’ve seen some amazing cards and ideas there!

Popcorn the bear birthday card

I know I should be making cards for christmas but I had to make a quick card for a boy’s birthday, he will be 1 year old on Tuesday.
I thought Crafter’s Companion Popcorn cd would be perfect for this. I found a lovely decoupage image of Popcorn on a present and Soufle looking at him, printed the matching backing paper, insert as well as one of the co-ordinating papers with presents on, dug out my lovely X-cut border punch (got that at Ally Pally last week!) and some pastel blue centura pearl card. Some plain blue paper, a bit of ribbon and some glitter glue joined their friends. I also printed the phrase “1st birthday” from Crafter’s Companion Peter Rabbit cd in pale blue.
The insert is held on the blue backing paper with two flower brads as it is printed on velum and I wanted to give it some movement.
I wasn’t planning on making it into an easel card when I was printing everything off but when I finished with the decoupage it sort of wanted to be put on an easel card, so I obbeyed. Yes, I do love easel cards, they are so simple to make and they look so interesting.
So here it is, my Sunday afternoon birthday card. I am quite pleased with it!
